Emile Henry Flame Braising Pot - 3.6 L - Plum

This sturdy round braising pot is designed for both the oven and the stove and can be used in a variety of ways from simmering a vegetable soup to slow braising a pot roast. The rounded, generous interior is very practical for mixing and stirring during cooking, making this pot ideal for cooking risotto. The natural clay allows slow even temperatures and the durable glaze makes this pot easy to clean following use. The glazed bottom has been specially designed for use on ceramic or glass (halogen) stovetops without scratching, allowing foods to be started on the stovetop and finished in the oven.
When cooking, ceramic diffuses the heat slowly and evenly. This ceramic bakeware can be used in both the oven and microwave, as well as on the stovetop (gas, electric, or halogen).
